As a free to play user, this is fun and rewarding

by insertfootmouth

I have been playing fairly consistently since late 2014 and really enjoy this game.

I also haven't spent a dime on it.

I'm not a Blizzard fanboy and am not drawn in by any references and tributes made to other Blizzard games in here Hearthstone. Nor am I a card game fanatic (which this most certainly is). I just appreciate the realtime interaction on a mobile platform and execution of a game, one which is rather simple in its premise but also has a good amount of depth. Here, high levels of planning and thought are quite oftentimes rewarded.

Those thoughtful, analytical elements combined with the delightful sounds, visuals, and character designs make for an enjoyable all around experience. Then on top of that, throw in the regular, edge-of-your-seat moments where randomization comes into play. And you have a single 10 to 15 minute in-game match that truly has me coming back for more a few times a day.

The game isn't perfect by any means. But the developers are constantly tweaking things and introducing new elements in order to make it better, more fair, and ultimately more fun. Up to this point, I can't think of a decision made on their part that I didn't see as justified.

Developers, keep up the good work! Fellow players, maybe I'll see you around in the tavern for a match or two.

Fun game, but don't judge classes too quickly

Okay. Hearthstone is fun. All my friends play it. When you play hearthstone, try to get friends to play with you to have friendly battles and the game will magically be more fun. Plus. The game isn't a pay to win game. You can still get gold to buy card packs, but you just need to know the most efficient ways to get gold. I know people say Priest is OP sometimes, but think. Most of Priests cards are pretty weak and require spells to help buff the units to create finisher Minions to end the battle. If you find the game hard, just take a break from it and come back to it in a day and you'll be ready to play again. WARNING DO NOT BINGE PLAY!!!

Crashing issues

by Cougar_Pounder

I absolutely love this game. It is so addicting to play and I just want to say it's not pay to win. It sure can be but its not. If you know how to spend your coins wisely then you will still get very good cards. It takes some patience to build a good deck but that doesn't mean you have to. On the other hand, with this new update my game has been crashing in the loading screen... I tried even reinstalling the game. I want to play! Blizzard get on it please

Color, aim and speed matter most in this new take on classic arcade style gameplay! • Use power-ups that affect the playfield, balls and monsters to gain temporary advantages
  • Avoid power-down items that can hinder your progress
  • Trigger chain attacks and explosions to destroy large numbers of monsters at once
  • Five different monsters in varying colors have different characteristics that affect how you can beat them

Should be a lot better by now

by CD9000.1

I recently downloaded this app after deleting it years ago. At the time I thought in needed some improvements. I was disappointed to see very little has changed. There are several improvements need, first of all it is really annoying that you can't add more time to a round. One minute rounds seem short. You should be able choose one, two or three minutes before starting a round. It is disappointing and frustrating for younger players to only get one or two right in a round. Second, I would also like to be able add or edit cards to a deck that I purchased. The decks you buy don't have a lot of cards and once you play them a couple a times it's not fun any more because you keep getting the same cards over and over again. I would like to add more cards to keep it fun. Finally, I don't like that "Build your own deck" only lets you make one deck, then I have to buy it again to make another deck. I would and also like to share a deck I created with family and friends. Fun game, but needs to evolve to something better.

The anytime game

by Mrs. Donofrio

The family standing next to us in line at an Epcot attraction was playing Heads Up. As a game loving teacher and mother of four, I couldn't restrain myself from joining in! Fortunately, our line partners were receptive, and before long we had a huge game going, and my whole family got the app ourselves. Now we play on road trips, during rain delays at ball games, after holiday dinners, and when new boyfriends/girlfriends start hanging out at our house. I'm going to write my own deck to use in class this year, too. Love it! And love Ellen, too.

Love it but needs a few tweaks

by Jillibean23

I absolutely love this game! However it seems as though once you play a category a few times, it repeats the same question, taking the fun out of the game because there are no new questions for that category. Also I wish there were more options to purchase. Such as lines from a movie, famous movies, famous celebrities, comedies. Overall though this game is excellent and brings a lot of joy and laughter. If they could just make a few tweaks it would be perfect.
